Our restaurants incorporate three key components that when combined allow us to reflect the core of the Houlihan's brand:
When weather allows, an operable window system fully opens to integrate the interior bar and exterior patio areas.
We incorporate a wide variety of seating styles for flexibility and efficiency – moveable tables and high tops, banquette and booth seating, traditional barstools and bar high tops, and extensive outdoor dining and lounge areas arranged around the outdoor fire pit.
We utilize custom designed and fully controllable lighting and sound systems to highlight and tailor the various guest spaces - and to add a touch of drama.
As a rule, we prefer to locate within dense, affluent trade areas with a significant daytime employment base. We will consider suburban regional locations, suburban/urban neighborhoods and urban core areas with strong residential and entertainment elements.
We also like to co-locate with other national or local upscale casual dining chains and national specialty retailers. Most of our current development consists of anchored lifestyle retail centers, power retail/entertainment centers, specialty entertainment projects and high viability pads fronting regional shopping centers.
To evaluate potential trade areas, we utilize the following demographic benchmarks in conjunction with proprietary psychographic segmentation targets:
2,000-2,500 people per square mile at 3-mile radius and 5-mile radius (goal of 250,000 people living within 5 miles)
50,000 households with annual household income greater than $75,000 within 5 miles or 15-minute drive time
Locations with very strong white-collar employment for business lunches and after-work happy hours. Minimum of 40,000 daytime employees within a 10-minute drive or 3-mile radius
We seek additional traffic drivers immediately adjacent: mid-scale or better hotels, vibrant specialty retail shopping, destination entertainment, etc.
We seek highly attractive retail locations with access to substantial convenient parking, and with architectural design standards that will allow us to incorporate the key elements of our national trade dress.
